Proctor and Gamble

I never realized how many companies belong to Proctor and Gamble. The most familiar to me was Crest because it is the toothpaste that I use. The least familiar to me was Zooth because I have never even heard of it. But after looking more into it, I found that Zooth is tooth care for kids.

I am not sure how I feel about such a large company, yes it is good because costs can be kept down by a company being so large that economic changes seem like a drop in the bucket compared to the amount of money in the company. But it makes it extremely hard for small companies to start up, and if they do start up, it can be hard to stay running.

Gun Control Editorial

Posted in Uncategorized on May 9, 2008 by tomsblog521

Gun violence is a serious problem in the United States. Some people believe that people are in danger from gun violence and some people believe that people are not in danger from gun violence. The one group most in danger is children. They don’t know about guns and how much serious damage they can do. If children are told don’t touch this, they are going to want to touch it. Children need to be taught what a gun can do and what to do if someone is misusing a gun. I personally believe that children are at risk from handgun violence. In the articles, CHILDREN ARE NOT AT RISK FROM HANDGUN VIOLENCE and CHILDREN ARE AT RISK FROM HANDGUN VIOLENCE, both sides of gun control are discussed.

Cars of the Future.

I think there are some good ideas for cars of the future. The only thing that i think needs to be done, is that electric vehicles need to look the same as gasoline fueled vehicles. Most of the electric vehicles now have crazy designs that aren’t appealing to everyone, like they need to be. We have adequate battery technology now, to the point of 300 mile ranges or more. Electric vehicles are a great idea, but there are still a few kinks to work out.

Who Killed the Electric Car?

1. In your words, explain why the car manufacturers collected and destroyed the electric vehicles.

I think the car companies collected and destroyed the electric vehicles because they were seperating themselves too much from the dependence on oil, and they were meeting too many companies trying to sue them.

2. What one assertion in the film troubles you the most?

The fact that the California Air Resources Board, whos one goal is to keep the air clean, bans the electric car and blamed it on the consumers.

3. Is energy a national security issue?

Yes, especially when it comes to oil and our troops in the middle east. Back in the our country as well, if there is a shortage of energy, people could get mad and revolt on the government.

The youth of America are at risk from gun violence

I believe that children in the U.S. are at risk from gun related violence. I think this because kids don’t know how much damage a gun can do. Kids need to be taught at a fairly early age what a gun can do, and what to do when someone is misusing a gun. We need to accept this gun violence problem as a country and work to solve this problem.
